Job Description

As the Enterprise Technology Architect, you will be part of the Enterprise Technology Management team reporting directly to the Head of Enterprise Technology within the Customer and Digital Function. You will play a key role in the strategic direction of the Applications, Services and Technologies delivered by Enterprise Technology to the Insights Business to ensure the delivery of Learning and Development services to our customers today and into the future. You will be accountable for the current and future Enterprise Architecture within Enterprise Technology's scope as well as the design of new and existing services to the customer ensuring that they are fit for purpose, strategic and can be delivered to the agreed service level targets as well as levels of quality as defined by the business themselves. You will work with the Business, Enterprise Technology and wider Customer and Digital teams to continually review and challenge the strategic direction to ensure that the services underpinning it are constantly reviewed to an agreed schedule and quality and that any required changes and projects are raised to be considered by the change portfolio or appropriate processes. Fundamental to this is an easily understood Business view of the current and future state of the Enterprise Technology Architecture to enable the appropriate business decisions to be made based on the agreed risks and potential impact to the business. You will act as an escalation point for the team to provide support and guidance and will manage partners to deliver the required levels of service based on agree contracts and targets. You will play a key role in the Enterprise Technology management team providing support and guidance to your colleagues and manager helping define the future strategy of the function and wider Technology. What you'll do to succeed - You will be accountable for the agreed responsibilities, deliverables and quality of service of the role - You will manage and be accountable for the services delivered by partners in support of the technology strategy and solution design - Act as an escalation point for the Enterprise Technology team and the wider Customer and Digital function - Ensure the Enterprise Architecture is always up to date and continually reviewed - Ensure that all solutions proposed are of a high quality and fit within the strategic direction of the organisation - Define the direction of Enterprise and Solution Architecture in Enterprise Technology - Work with the Principle Architect and other Architecture functions in Technology to ensure a consolidated and aligned strategy is delivered - Ensure that knowledge is shared within Enterprise Technology, is current and documented to ensure that the wider Technology teams can provide a consistent and high-quality service - Continually manage identified Risks and Issues to ensure mitigating actions are agreed, in place and effective - Provide support to the Change Management Office and change portfolio as required - Other reasonable duties as assigned How will you do this? - Provide inspirational leadership and lead by example in the provision of a first-class, proactive Enterprise Technology Strategy - Establish and maintain effective communication channels with key stakeholders throughout the Customer and Digital function, the business, steering groups and sponsors - Keep abreast of industry trends - Act as an escalation point and escalate issues to partners and, where appropriate, pro-actively monitoring progress and providing updates - Flexible - ability to change priorities quickly, and capacity to handle multiple tasks - Collaborate and work effectively across internal functional areas as well as with external parties as required - Participate willingly in the team and keep other team members informed and up to date by sharing useful or relevant ideas and information. - Adhere to Insights Security and Data Protection policies - Manage internal stakeholder relationships - Understand and meet the needs of the business and provide help and support to colleagues as required - Build relationships with key personnel across the business.
