Job Description

An exciting opportunity to join NHS Tayside A fundamental part of Cancer Services in Tayside is the Multi Disciplinary Team Meeting (MDM). These meetings discuss patient's diagnoses and best future management of their condition. We are looking for a flexible, motivated and dedicated individual interested in challenging work within a dynamic multidisciplinary team environment to help support patient pathways. The MDM Coordinator/Cancer Tracker will work with the Cancer Information and Audit Team, cancer clinicians and other NHS staff in Tayside and North East Fife to: * Organise and administer MDT Meetings for Cancer sites within NHS Tayside, and capture decisions, outcomes and treatment plans in the meeting. * Track Cancer patients through their pathways including keeping the Cancer Waiting Times and Cancer Audit database(s) up to date. * Assist with administration of patient information, across multiple systems, to support clinical teams. Applicants should possess excellent keyboard skills, communication, administrative and organisational skills, preferably with a Secretarial/Business Administration qualification or equivalent. Experience using Microsoft Office suite of applications is also essential. Whilst previous experience/knowledge of NHS processes and clinical terminology would be advantageous, full training will be given to candidates who can demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment.
