Mail Your Pride in London Pride in London (PiL) means many things to many people, it belongs to our community and it belongs to you; come and join the conversation! Forty-six years since the first Pride march in London, Pride in London has a renewed sense of purpose to highlight the challenges still facing the LGBT+ community today despite progress. We are run by a group of volunteers who are passionate about equality and diversity and are drawn from all walks of life; together we pull off the UK's biggest free LGBTQ+ community event every year. Pride aims to raise awareness of LGBTQ+ issues and campaign for the freedoms that will allow all our community to live their lives on a genuinely equal footing. Around 150 people volunteer year-round to help us deliver what has become a world-class Pride. We welcome applications from everybody and are especially keen to attract new volunteers from the BAME, Trans, Bi, Non-binary and Queer communities who we would love to see more widely represented in our organisation. Your new team Strategic Partnerships is the team responsible for Pride in London's income generation in relation to all corporate partnership's deals. The team as a collective help to generate new business, negotiate contracts and then manage that relationship throughout its tenure. A lot of the partnership's benefits relate specifically to the day itself but additional activation throughout the year is key to the activation's success. Specific activation within each partnership can include but isn't limited to, on the day branding, social media posts, logo/ website management, marketing campaign management and parade/ event logistics. Other events and partnerships such as the Gala, Pride run, and Pride in the City form a much bigger portfolio that the team also oversee. We make sure all companies go through a rigorous ethical process to ensure the partnership activation is requested with the right intentions. Your new volunteer role The kind of activities you will be doing day to day include: * Overseeing a selection of new business enquiries as delegated by your Head of New Business * Being responsible for progressing those allocated new business leads through to fruition (including a meeting in regards to ethical drive of the organisation at the forefront of any early stage conversation) * With guidance and strategic input, generating new leads where appropriate * Attending weekly meetings to ensure all negotiations are kept on track and all enquiry questions are answered in a timely manner, leading to a successful agreement * Making sure these conversations (where appropriate) lead to contracts signed (with legal assistance) and in a timely manner * To have the appropriate payment made pre contract activation in all agreements * Working closely with other teams to negotiate any issues * Ensuring the agreed timelines are met both from the client and Pride in London perspective to prevent any delay and ensure the partnership activation can be as successful as possible * Ensuring a detailed handover with the delegated Account Manager occurs (including saving down and forwarding all draft and signed contracts and detailing out specific handover notes) * To keep in regular contact with the Account Manager where necessary to clarify any points agreed * Working with the Account Executive to make sure all allocated new business leads are recorded effectively to ensure a historical archive of process and procedure is updated and maintained. * Ensuring efficient ways of working are adopted and consistently implemented across the team * Attending various team and client events throughout the year to build relationships and promote Pride in London. Who you are * Must have substantial experience in new business corporate partnerships within a professional organisation * Must have dealt with mid-large corporate new business client relationships * Must have the business commercial acumen to drive forward the external valuation figures to ensure Pride in London reach their full commercial value when entering into corporate agreements * Must be a good team player with exceptional communication skills * Must have evening and weekend availability to run and/or attend team meetings and client events. * Ideally have the ability to attend meetings during the weekday (on an ad hoc basis) What you'll get joining Pride in London * An induction course and a variety of training that's offered throughout the year * An opportunity to get new and relevant professional experience * A chance to broaden your professional network * Play an important part in delivering Pride event * Social opportunities to meet the diverse and friendly bunch who volunteer for Pride in London Click to apply Remind me later Or, know someone who would be a perfect fit?
