As a New Business and Transitions Specialist within our Global Fund Accounting team, you will take a lead role in supporting new fund launches by working with the middle and back office operational teams ensuring that all angles have been assessed when we are looking to launch a new fund. You will be a key communicator and act as a project lead running around 20-25 operational workstreams. This is a very interesting opportunity for someone who has a background in operations and is now looking for more of a hybrid type of position where it's very much more planning around an event launch. In this role you will: * Taking a lead role and support the on-boarding of new products of large size complexity on behalf of Fund Financial Services. Coordinating activities and interacts extensively across the global organization to ensure objectives are met. * Working closely with external service providers to effectively and efficiently deliver fund product objectives. * Assisting in the development of new operating models and workflows and/or enhances existing workflows to meet the demands of new product initiatives. * Work with internal stakeholders and third party service providers to create processes that meet operational needs while managing operational risks and maintaining key control objectives. * Establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with both internal business partners, external clients, and service providers. * Act as a liaison between departments including but not limited to: Portfolio Review (PRD), Investment Management Group (IMG), Legal, Institutional Investor Group (IIG), Education Savings Group (ESG), plan sponsors, outside fund companies, third party providers, and Fund Financial Services (FFS) - working with key business resources and ensuring that all issues raised have been properly addressed. * Working to maintain a comprehensive conceptual understanding of the fund products and services and FFS infrastructure, while leading or supporting fund events as assigned. * Champions process excellence efforts with an emphasis on minimizing business risk. Identifies trends and implements action plans demonstrating productive and collaborative efforts across the organization. What it takes * Undergraduate degree (accounting or finance preferred) or an equivalent combination of training and experience. * Previous relevant business experience including accounting and custody operations. * Transitions experience or knowledge is desirable but not essential * Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with strong attention to detail. * Demonstrates strong relationship management and client interaction skills. * Ability to generate creative approaches and solutions. * Ability to interact with various levels of management. * Proven ability to meet deadlines with attention to detail, while frequently adjusting priorities. * Ability to deal with ambiguity and rapid change. * Good interpersonal communication skills (persuasion, consensus building). * Strong verbal and written communication skills.
