Clinical Nurse Educator - Older People and Stroke
Overview
Job Description
You will work within the nursing and multi-disciplinary team actively contributing to the education and training strategy within the directorate. You will ensure practice development activity and pre and post registration education development needs are met within the clinical specialty. A key role of this post is to ensure staff meet competency requirements and are equipped with the skills required to perform their role to the optimum. You will Lead educational initiatives with the Older People`s & Stroke service and promote continuous improvement of patient centred care. You will be responsible for ensuring that clinical practice within this specialty is up to date utilising guidelines, evidence based practice, research and audit. It is essential you are a * Registered Nurse, Midwife with current NMC Registration * Substantial post registration experience with relevant experience at Band 6 or above * Educated to degree level, preferably at Masters level (or currently working towards masters degree) * A post graduate teaching and learning qualification recordable with the NMC (or currently working towards) and/or a portfolio of evidence of experience in teaching / learning in the formal setting Shift pattern is Monday - Friday 8-4pm Informal Contact: Jennifer McFarlane, Lead Nurse on 0141 314 6766 Details on how to contact the Recruitment Service can be found within the Candidate Information Pack
