We are looking for a talented Director of UX with subject matter expertise to join our high performing Product & Strategy team. This critical UX Director role will help to oversee our talented design team and Mimecast user experience, which is a strategic driver for Mimecast's success of Email Security 3.0 strategy, unifying our products and creating an amazing customer experience. This role would suit a creative soul with solid organizational skills who is able to thrive in a high performance culture that offers flexibility, support and encouragement of creativity, innovation and collaboration. Additionally candidates should be able to think outside of the box to deliver on core customer problems while achieving business requirements and martialling in-depth technical skills focused on user experience. As a core member of the team, you will work to help innovate our platform of products, drive collaboration amongst various stakeholders and keep our offering customer focused. Responsibilities * Retain, develop and lead a world-class UX design team. * Engage and collaborate with company leaders to promote UX achievements and direction. * Technical understanding of what it means to design for cyber security across multiple personas. * Improve and enforce effective design processes that are focused on lean UX principles. * Lead through rapidly evolving, complex demands, including multiple projects with dependencies on other internal teams. * Establish trust in a cross-functional organization with various business partners. * Excellent project management, problem solving and communication skills. * Motivated, optimistic, non-political, pragmatic and data-driven leader who leads through example. * Act as an advocate for the users to drive product improvements while making suite first a core tenant. * Refine and realize an inspiring design vision for the future that simplifies the customer journey while reducing support challenges. Qualifications Essential Skills and Experience: * Minimum of 8 years of experience with UX/UI and at 3 years+ leading design teams. * Experience providing amazing user experiences while leading a team of designers. * Expert and thought leader on Visual Design, Interface/Information Design, Interaction Design, Functional Specification and User/Site Objectives. * Modern software development background and familiar with current, industry standards. * Focus on utilizing cloud based developer and design tools, including building out design systems. * Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and team focused work environment. * Enterprise software development experience and awareness of developer UX needs. Desirable Skills: * Cyber security product experience. * Very strong presentation skills and ability to oversee a variety of projects simultaneously. * Successfully launched SaaS products into the marketplace. * Excellent brand awareness and brand building across multiple products and platform. * Product or project management experience. * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
