Job Description

Job Summary: This senior technology leader will own and shape the user experience (UX) of Allied World's internally developed technology products. The role will work closely with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to move from requirements to design to execution while ensuring designs meet brand expectations while driving business results. This role will report to the SVP of Engineering and Applications. Job Duties * Oversee the execution and delivery of the user experience of Allied World's technology products * Develop, apply and help oversee design, component, and brand standards across the company * Ensure consistency across all of our products & integrations by adhering to our style guide and making updates when necessary. Work with front-end developers to eliminate inconsistencies. * Demonstrate leadership in problem-solving, transparency, and safe experimentation * Work effectively with cross-functional teams, partnering with product and engineering to conceptualize, build, and ship highly usable product * Recruit, develop, and retain UX talent to deliver on both current and future business goals Job Requirements: * 10 years of experience in UX design * Experience designing and building a product, preferably at a start-up * Excellent communication skills and feel comfortable having discussions with users, engineers and executives * Analytical by nature and factor both quantitative and qualitative data points into your designs whenever possible. * Strong proficiency with UX Related Tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, and Figma * Deep knowledge of your medium (HTML, CSS, & JavaScript) * Customer-focused with a great product sense and enjoy difficult UI/UX challenges
