Governance & First Line Controls Analyst
Overview
Job Description
Working closely with the Governance & 1st Line Controls Manager and Governance Officers within the Operational Governance function, you will play key role in ensuring the team is fit for the future by automating its first line control activities. You will play a key part in supporting the team in executing risk governance activities in accordance with the division's Governance & Control Framework by producing impactful and timely data insights for the consumption of team members, senior management and various risk committees.You will also assist the team in identifying, measuring, and reporting on operational and conduct risk. Key Responsibilities * Using technical skills to automate the team's first line control activities, working closely with the First Line Controls Officer * Identify, measure, track, monitor and report on operational and conduct risks identified as a result of the team's risk governance and first line control activities * Conduct trend analysis using available data to highlight key operational and conduct risks * Produce reports and governance dashboards for the consumption of Senior Management and Board * Establish and maintain a strong partnership with stakeholders across the 3 Lines of Defence, key business contacts and management. Other Ad-hoc duties * Manage essential risk governance activities as outlined in the Risk Governance frameworks. * Support Governance Officers in managing remediation activities for identified risks. * Assist in the development of 1st Line Risk Governance and/or Quality Assurance Frameworks. * Play a part in delivering the Operational Governance strategy. * Conduct Quality Assurance activities, such as Early Settlements Monitoring. Risk & Compliance * Ensure that all Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to and all reporting and reviewing activities required by the Regulatory Bodies are carried out to the standards required.
