What an exciting time to join our established and experienced clinical research team at Calderdale & Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust. The COVID19 pandemic has presented health services worldwide with many challenges and research will be at the forefront for many years to come, in gathering a sound evidence base to address this and other important health needs. We are looking for a dynamic Clinical Research Team Leader to join us. Based across two acute sites in Huddersfield and Halifax as well as some community sites, we are one of few NHS organisations recognised as an "investor in people" and work to involve, support and develop staff within our organisation. At CHFT we are committed to providing research opportunities as part of patient care, enhancing patient experience and outcomes through the delivery of research and innovation, across all specialties with a range of interventional and non-interventional studies. We work with commercial, non-commercial and academic research partners in testing not only the best treatment options for our patients and service users but also improving our services In this important role we are looking for someone who possesses current leadership and management skills within clinical research and has experience of delivering and co-ordinating commercial research. Applicants must demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to build working relationships, negotiate, network and motivate staff.The successful candidate will have a professional manner, a flexible approach to work and be able to drive enthusiasm within a team. They will have experience in managing change successfully, develop teams in maximising their potential and abilities. Applicants will be enthusiastic learners who demonstrate commitment to continued professional development for themselves and their team. Applicants must demonstrate a keen and active interest in health research and keep abreast of national developments which they can effectively disseminate and identify opportunities for the Trust. A comprehensive induction and training program will be provided, as well as ongoing support. The post is for 37.5 hours per week based on a permanent contract.
