Job Description

A rewarding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join the Mental Health Occupational Therapy Service in Fife. The post is predominantly within the Adult Mental Health Service working with people aged 18- 65 years experiencing mental health problems which impact on their occupational performance. The postholder will have had some post graduate experience as a Band 5 and will work with patients on mental health wards, and in community settings. You will be responsible for a caseload of patients ensuring they receive specialist assessments from evidence based interventions on an individual basis or within a group. You will be expected to work autonomously, being able to manage and prioritise the many clinical and non clinical demands placed on them. They will also be responsible for the delegation and supervision of work to Healthcare support workers. You will work alongside senior staff in supporting and implementing service developments in line with National Strategies and Drivers. This is supported by a College of Occupational Therapist endorsed clinical supervision training programme and the AHP Mental Health Advanced Practitioner Framework, all of which are recorded and reviewed through the TURAS Appraisal system.
