There's a critical lack of affordable housing. And we know there's no quick solution. Our plan is to use our financial strength and development expertise to build more new homes than ever and maintain them to a high standard. Providing an efficient 'right first time' repairs and maintenance services to our properties is one of our top priorities. As voids manager, you'll have overall responsibility for the voids function, making sure a first-class, value for money repairs and maintenance service is delivered. And that all works carried out are completed to a high standard and within agreed service level agreements (SLAs). You'll also have overall financial responsibility for your area; you'll monitor monthly spend within your team, working with the finance team to create budgets and monthly accounts. With your focus on delivering a great customer experience, you'll make sure any complaints within your area are delegated to the supervisors to carry out full investigations to resolve matters quickly. You'll also ensure targets and programmes for all works are met, escalating any delays so that expectations can be managed. You'll have good working knowledge of providing a maintenance and repairs service within a supervisory or managerial capacity. You'll have good knowledge and experience of voids processes within the social housing sector. You'll be a strong leader with good communication skills. And be results driven so we meet/exceed targets and continually improve our service. As mentioned, you'll need a full, current driving licence and access to a vehicle for your work travel.
