Overview
Voids Officer contract opportunity for a South London Housing Provider. An established client of Morgan Hunt is seeking a Voids Officer to work in South London. You will be part of a team responsible for: Manage the void process of the property Update systems from the date of termination to the tenancy start date Undertake pre-inspections and/or void inspections Advise the outgoing tenant of the termination procedures Ensure daily update and advertising of void properties ready for letting Assess and confirm the suitability of applicants in advance of the allocation/transfer being confirmed Keep prospective tenants up to date with progress, to minimise delays and void rent loss Identify any health & safety concerns and any breaches of tenancy conditions, report accordingly Work jointly with the Neighbourhood Manager to identify any vulnerable tenants (such as people leaving care, leaving supported housing, leaving prison, people with mental health or learning difficulties) that may have difficulties sustaining their tenancy and carry out a support plan with the tenant. The successful candidate for the role of a Voids Officer should have: Experience of working within a Voids or Lettings environment with either a local authority or a Housing Association. Understanding of Social Housing Understanding of relevant legislation with regard to the letting of properties, and social Housing more broadly A full driver's license and access to a vehicle If you feel you meet the above the requirements, please apply now.
