The role: An excellent opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and highly organised professional to work within the Acute and Rehabilitation directorate as the Intermediate Care Community Services Manager. This role offers the chance to work with, and lead, predominantly the Intensive Rehabilitation Service as well as the Community Treatment Team. The successful candidate will provide senior management support to colleagues ensuring effective clinical delivery of patient care whilst maintaining quality, and meeting performance indicators and financial targets. This role requires an individual who can provide strong leadership to secure the delivery of highly organised, well planned and effective Intermediate Care services. Within this role; you will work alongside an existing 8B clinician within the division, to support the assistant director for Intermediate Care. The successful post holder will be able to help with the development of strategic direction for the services in line with national policies and lead on change management in the implementation of service development. You will help to create a culture in which innovation can flourish and provide vision and inspiration to enable staff to deliver high quality services and patient care. The successful candidate will support the continued partnership working with our local authority and acute partners to ensure patient centred, dynamic healthcare provision is provided. Organisational Context: The acute and rehabilitation directorate incorporates a range of intermediate care services within physical health to include Neurological Rehabilitation, General Rehabilitation including early supported discharge through intensive rehabilitation and crisis support services. The services cover the boroughs of Barking and Dagenham, Redbridge and Havering. To deliver robust financial management in line with Directorate and Trust targets, including Cost Improvement Programmes, ensuring services are cost effective and delivered within budget.
