Commercial Director Brand: Estee Lauder Companies Description Overview of Role This role supports the VP GM Commercial and UK Executive Leadership Team to grow the business through the development of strategic growth plans, building strong relationships with retail partners and Pure Players while exploring new business opportunities. Key Responsibilities * Develops strategic growth plans for retailers, identifying key building blocks, aligning with retail partners and brands, across all channels (bricks and clicks), including a deep understanding of the retailer, the consumer and the business driving levers. * Focus on the development of the regional Pure Play and Retailer.com growth strategy and execution. Identifying new opportunities with existing partners and developing new business opportunities in this fast growth channel. * Supporting the broader Commercial team on Retailer.com, upskilling, developing the relevant KPIs, and where necessary supporting in meetings/discussions (internally and externally). * Be the 'go to' commercial person for regional initiatives and development in the Pure Play and Retailer.com channels. * Implementation of strategic plans, setting milestones and success criteria. * Negotiate trading terms with retailers with regards to margin, payment terms, VIRs, marketing investment, space and location, capital and staffing costs (where relevant). * Lead discussions/follow up with retailers and the organisation around multi brand operational issues or individual brand commercial issues where support is required, including stock investment, promotional support, marketing initiatives and pricing. * Active involvement in planning and participation in regular commercial led meetings * Assess risks and make recommendations based on a thorough analysis of all factors involved in a business situation. * Partner with Store Design/ Retail Operations on store refits, site allocations, space management within retailers, capital expenditure and budget negotiations. * Encourage and support the development of function to function retailer partnerships, e.g. finance, supply chain etc. * Lead, manage and develop a Commercial Manager and shared Commercial Executive, to build capability, develop retail partnerships and maximise sales and profitability. * Identify and develop new opportunities for growth, including new channels to market. Qualifications Requirements * Ability to work at both a strategic and operational level, being able to see bigger picture while also be able to get into the detail with a hands-on approach. * Experience in working with both Pure Play and Retailer.com, and traditional retailers, with proven results across all channels. * Strong commercial acumen, with excellent numeracy, analytical and negotiating skills * Builds and develops strong collaborative companies, both internally and externally to maximise business opportunities and resolve issues. * Ability to work using influencing and persuasion skills and can demonstrate success and effectiveness in working through others. * Innovates in areas with the highest potential * Excellent communication skills, written and verbal * Works effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines * Experience of managing and developing a team member/s * Demonstrates passion and commitment. * Demonstrates learning agility, flexibility and a proactive and positive attitude Job: Strategy / Business Development Primary Location: Europe, Middle East, Africa-GB-ENG-London Job Type: Standard Schedule: Full-time Shift: 1st (Day) Shift Job Number: 204304 Estee Lauder Companies is an equal opportunities employer.
