Job Description

PURPOSE To provide Trade and Sales Support services to Global Equity Linked Product (GELP) in line with the operations procedures and bank standing orders. This role is independent and will roll up to an existing Derivatives Support Team What will you do? * To ensure all daily tasks / controls are completed in line with the departmental PRIMA maps and procedures. * To ensure PRIMA maps and procedures are up to date and follow RBC Policies. * To investigate any processing issues and recommend a course of action to the Team Manager. Once approved, assist in the execution of the proposed change. * To provide best in class client services to both internal and external clients by ensuring their queries are responded to within agreed timeframes * To meet to mandatory training requirements in Talentlink and take a proactive approach to suggesting appropriate additional training as required for the role. * To assist the Team manager/ department head on projects, process improvements or new business initiatives as requested. * To continue to develop product/ market knowledge to ensure daily processes are appropriate to reduce operational risk. * To escalate any unusual behavior as well as any processing issues to the team manager or above in a timely manner following the Operations escalation policy. * To support colleagues during bust periods by sharing workloads as applicable. * To process any trade amendment or cancellation into GELP Front Office systems, ensuring approval is provided by GELP Front Office Staff each time. * Manage certain trade lifecycle events, ensuring timeliness and accuracy of booking Manage and respond to all client queries received into the RBC GELP EMEA Support inbox * Manage and resolve all inter-entity breaks, corresponding with the different GELP regions Assist in the resolution of all settlement breaks with Prime Brokers, Security Depositories and clients. * Review, reconcile and process client statements including the monitoring of Retro and Makewhole fees in Sophis. * Manage and ensure accuracy of processing for all Corporate Action events, ensure each Term Sheet is adjusted and distributed to reflect the change. WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED Required * The candidate will have a solid derivative and/or structured notes operations or middle office experience.
