Agile Working Options Other Agile Working Arrangements / Open to Discussion Job Description Summary We are looking to recruit a Director, Head of Banks Trade Sales for our Corporate and Institutional Coverage Trade Sales team. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Lloyds Banking Group's Global Transaction Banking team to work flexibly, develop personally and professionally and work collaboratively with an ambitious team to support its partners across the group, bringing to life the Group's vision of Helping Britain Prosper. Job Description You will be responsible for: * Delivering revenue by identifying and executing opportunities to support our Global Banks clients' Trade Finance requirements * Developing & driving the delivery of a market-leading, joined up sales strategy, across the Group's global portfolio of Banks clients * Leading a high performing team, developing colleagues through stretching performance objectives, feedback and coaching. Engaging with internal stakeholders and related product partners to deliver against strategy and maximise opportunities. * Ensuring adherence to group policy and regulatory requirements to protect the customers and the Group, whilst identifying, monitoring and mitigating commercial risks. * Building relationships with Senior Client Executives. * Proactively building and maintaining an external and internal network to support business delivery. * Spotting opportunities for and leading change to improve customer and commercial outcomes. * Overseeing the accurate and timely completion of the sales pipeline and revenue analysis processes, in accordance with defined and agreed goals and objectives * Acting as a senior source of professional expertise to shape and deliver marketing plans and engagements at industry events and webinars * Targeting prospective customers to develop new relationships and win new business, as well as advancing and close opportunities with existing clients, ensuring we remain as their trusted advisor. To succeed, the candidate will have a proven track record in FI Trade sales environment with excellent product knowledge. The successful candidate will: * Be customer orientated * Be motivated by results * Have an excellent knowledge of the customer base and competitive environment, to provide client and market feedback to management and business partners, including for product development and enhancement and solution delivery * Have very strong commercial management acumen * Be able to seek, share and embed best practice, support and positively influence across the Group * Have a 'can do' attitude towards achieving performance targets * Have a strong understanding of credit and risk in the context of banks, countries and trade products * Have good people management skills * Be a self-motivator and influencer. Key Skills and Knowledge * Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in Trade Sales or Marketing of Bank Trade, with an in-depth knowledge and established relationships. * Able to originate Bank to Bank trade financing and Traditional Trade business (Export L/Cs and Guarantees). * Solid understanding of Sovereign risk and its impact to the Banking sector, with awareness of key credit fundamentals in these sectors. * Consistent track record of successfully developing new business opportunities with Banks as well as maintain existing clients. * Prepare and submit credit applications in conjunction with the coverage teams, ensuring alignment with defined strategy and agreement with product, sales support and risk as required. * Secondary market knowledge relating to purchase and sale of Trade assets is advantageous * Previous knowledge of Supply Chain Finance and Receivables Financing would be advantageous.
