Vacancy: Process Engineer Location: Wakefield Salary: Competitive Salary and Benefits package Hours: 09:00 - 17:00 Our Client: Our client is a global chemical business in the heart of West Yorkshire, who seeks an experienced Process Engineer to ensure that the process operations of their site operate effectively, efficiently and safely complying with legislation in force. The role: * Responsible for the design, operation, control and optimisation of processes on site. * Cost effectively maintain processed to meet business requirements for reliability. efficiency and regulatory and environmental compliance within a COMAH site. * Identify and report problems * Assist in actions for Continuous Improvement * Be flexible in approach to duties to fit business requirements Responsiblities: (Include but not exhaustive) * Wrk with the management team, operators and lab team to reach optimisation of plant & equipment by reducing batch times and down time * Carry out cost estimates and raise capital/revenue requests for projects * Ensure that project work is completed without incidnet * Set and deliver site standards for chemical processes * Lead and promote site safety * Issue Permits to Work when required * Deliver traininga and tool box talks * Represent the company to external bodies in a professional manner * Ensure compliance over all relevant Health, Safety, Welfare and Environmental regulations and requiremnts * Work with and support all departmenst within the business * Communicate clearly and concisely whether written or verbal * Take an active interest in personal development * Maintain excellent standards of housekeeping at all times * Report concerns without delay * Seek and respond to feedback * Respect and support the decisions of work colleagues Qualifications & Skills: * Degree or equivalent in Chemical/Process Engineering * Has or is moving towards Chartership * Ability to troubleshoot * Proven track record of Project Management * Hands on approach * Excellent PC literacy and skills including MS Office Software and other business software * Ability to work alone or as part of a team * Willing to work outside normal working hours when required In return you will receive a competitive salary and benefits package from a company that genuinely cares about it's employees.
