Job Introduction An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Turning Point Talking Therapy Teams as a Community Team Leader, Peer Mentor and Volunteer Coordinator. This role requires someone passionate about promoting mental wellbeing and will require someone who is energetic and enthusiastic about engaging with individuals and groups of people who may need our service. Responsibilities will include supporting the service to meet our entering treatment target by regularly engaging with community stakeholders, partners and businesses to raise awareness of the service. Alongside this you would lead the development of our Peer Mentoring Programme and support the recruitment and involvement of volunteers within the service. You will need to possess or willing to work towards a Level 3 Award in Education and Training. In this role you will have opportunity to make a real difference to people who are experiencing mental health problems such as mild to moderate symptoms of depression, anxiety and low mood. Role Responsibility As a Community Team Leader, Peer Mentor and Volunteer Coordinator you will be supporting the daily function of a busy primary care mental health service. You are likely to be someone with outstanding written and telephone communication skills as well as the ability to work effectively, independently, and as part of a busy management team. You are likely to have a background in general administration and have experience of managing people. The role will also include the line management of staff throughout the service in different positions so having experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team would be beneficial. As a team we specialise in evidence based psychological therapies and you will be leading a team to develop and maintain systems that help to facilitate clients accessing the service as quickly as is possible.
