Band 7 - Clinical / Counselling Psychologist or CBT Therapist Hours: 37.5 hrs per week (1.00 wte) two available posts Job type: Permanent South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust has a rich history, well-established community links and an international reputation. About the team: Talk Wandsworth - the new Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service for Wandsworth - offers evidenced-based psychological treatments, including CBT, IPT, DIT and BCT to its residents. The service is professionally led by a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and operationally led by a Clinical Manager. The clinical team includes qualified Clinical / Counselling Psychologists and CBT Therapists, IAPT High Intensity Trainees, Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners and Graduate Mental Health Workers, all of whom provide evidence-based psychological interventions in line with NICE guidance. The service operates from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday, and 9am to 5pm on Saturdays. Shift patterns are from 8am to 4pm and 12noon to 8pm and the post holder will be required to work flexible hours in line with this. This can be negotiated and will include week-day evenings and occasional weekends About the role: We are looking for an experienced Clinical / Counselling Psychologist or CBT Therapist to join our team of clinicians. The successful applicant will provide Step 3 diagnostic assessments and CBT treatment to clients presenting with depression, anxiety disorders LTC, and bulimic eating disorders. Applications from candidates with qualifications and expertise in IPT, EMDR. DIT and mindfulness-based CBT are especially welcomed. The successful applicant will work across the three IAPT localities of West Wandsworth, Wandle and Battersea, as well as having more one or more dedicated areas of project work. They will also be involved in the weekly supervision of Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners. About the location: Our Trust headquarters is located within the impressive grounds of Springfield University Hospital in Tooting and we also operate in nearly 100 other locations throughout the UK. This is easily accessible via the Northern Line (Tooting Bec Station) and via private transport. The Trust provides subsidised parking fares for all our substantive staff.
