Job Description
District Nursing - Taking the best of the NHS to the patient at home. This is an ideal post to move to if you are interested in a management position but still wanting some clinical work. Want a job that combines some clinical work with management? Who are We? The Clinical Nurse Lead role is a qualified band 7 nurse who leads and manages a team of Community Nurses. We have 9 bases in Lambeth and Southwark and each base has a Clinical Nurse Lead who supports and manages the team. This role currently combines clinical care with leadership and management and ideal for anyone wanting to climb the professional ladder without losing all clinical skills. 30% of the role is clinical We are also converting all our teams to the new model of nursing following the Buurzorg model from Holland. Over the next to years you will convert over. News ways of working will mean that you will work in a self managed team with a flat structure and no heirarchy. As the band 7, you will share your experience withthe team and guide them but will not manage them as you share management duties. The teams main priority is to work with the patient and family to help them become more independant. This is a great opportunity for you to prepare for a future career in many different areas and roles. You will help support the teams transistion to this new model, recieve training on how to work in this style and ultimately have a senior role and remain clinical. We are looking for the right person with the right qualities. There is availability of training and support, career progression and other developmental opportunities.
