Job Description

Vascular Surgery - Post CCT Fellow (Senior Clinical Fellow) 40 hours per week The Surgery, Cancer and Cardiovascular Sciences (SCC) division is one of three divisions within Imperial College Healthcare Trust. The Vascular Surgery directorate is based at St Mary's Hospital, Charing Cross Hospital and Hammersmith Hospital. We also support satellite services at both West Middlesex hospital and Chelsea and Westminster hospital. We receive around 5,000 new general vascular referrals annually, including both GP and tertiary referrals. Our Vascular Surgery team currently perform over 1,500 daycase surgeries per year and 500+ inpatient operations as part of our elective care pathway. The team also perform more than 600 non-elective procedures on an annual basis. There are 10 consultant surgeons, 5 specialist registrars, 2 clinical lecturers, 4 Research SpRs, 8 FY2/CT/Trust grades, 3 FY1s, and 3 AVNPs within the unit. The post holder will be well supported by this large clinical team. Two 12 month fixed term opportunity have arisen for Post CCT Fellows (Senior Clinic Fellows) within the directorate to undertake various clinical duties as well as teaching responsibilities. They will work with the clinical, admin and management teams along with support services to meet the clinical, surgical and research demands on the vascular surgery service at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust with a strong emphasis on education.
