Position Title: Human Resources Director - GCA 8 Location: Dundee, UK Band: Director Reports to: Sr Director of Human Resources EMEA POSITION SUMMARY: This role will report to the Sr HR Director EMEA at DFS and partner with the Dundee leadership team. The HR Director will lead the HR function at the Dundee site including but not limited to talent acquisition, learning and developing, employee engagement, compensation and benefits, talent management and diversity. The HR Director will be responsible to formulate and execute the Human Resources strategy for the Dundee site balancing the global and regional initiatives with the local priorities, to ensure and improve best practices to support a high performance and agile workforce development, working closely with the Dundee General Manager and leadership. The HR Director will work in a matrix organization and requires excellent communication's ability to ensure all stakeholders are properly onboard of the important initiative status and happenings of the site. The HR Director will have demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with practical execution and have significant leadership experience to drive results through the teams. The HR Director will provide operational direction and input into business and strategic decisions. RESPONSIBILITIES The Human Resources Director will be responsible for: * Building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and leaders in the business; * Providing strategic and tactical direction to the leadership team to execute the business' HR plans and initiatives; * Using experience, skills and knowledge of the HR industry to make an impact in key areas such as change management, organisational design, employee engagement and talent analytics; * Coaching and mentoring team members and peers; * Supporting and guiding line managers across the business on all HR related matters; * Ensuring talent effectiveness through attracting, developing and retaining processes; * Driving organizational effectiveness through continuous improvement initiatives; * Leading change; * Lead the HR Operations services (payroll and benefits process) for the UK. QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE * Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, Communications or related field. * Minimum 10 years of work experience in HR generalist role with a strong understanding of all HR functions, and minimum of 5 years of experience as an HR leader (team leadership). * Worked in a matrixed International corporate environment. * Ability to deal well with ambiguity and persevere in entrepreneurial, hands on environment. * Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills; * Analytical skills. * Problem-solving skills. * Proactive nature.
