Vacancy: Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer Location: Doncaster Hours of work: Monday - Friday 06:00 - 14:00, 14:00 - 22:00, 22:00 - 06:00 Salary: £35000 + Overtime/Benefits Client: Our client is a global manufacturing based in Doncaster. The role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven, customer focused Multi Skilled Shift Technician to join our engineering team to ensure optimum machine performance through effective prioritization of machinery maintenance and repair. As well as the adoption of LEAN tools and techniques via the utilisation of production and engineering recoding systems to identify engineering opportunities. You will primarily be responsible for: * The repair and maintenance of all site assets, by maintaining a strong focus on first time fix and quality of work. * You must be flexible and Pro-active in your approach to work. * You will seek out and implement improvements to reduce the level of breakdowns experienced, in line with the companies continuous improvement methodologies. * You will ensure all breakdowns are rectified as effectively as possible. * Helping to develop new maintenance programs to improve operational efficiencies. * Ensuring the correct completion of appropriate documentation and reporting to all levels of the organisation, will also be part of your role. * Training other members of staff to ensure skills are transferred across all operations. The successful candidate will have: * An ONC or HNC (or equivalent) in electrical or mechanical engineering. * Will be apprentice trained with proven electrical and mechanical fault finding ability. * A working knowledge of variable speed drives and inverters (installation and programming) are essential. * The ability to read, follow and amend engineering drawings. * The ability to fault find on electrical and hydraulic systems, incorporating proportional and servo control. * You will also have demonstrable knowledge of PLC operated equipment with the skills to maintain, monitor and modify a programme. * You must be computer literate and hold a full driving licence. Desirable Skills: * OMRON experience would be advantageous. * Previous experience of working to Food Hygiene Standards would be beneficial. * Knowledge of plastic injection moulding equipment, preferably Demag or Husky. * CAD experience. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator and be able to work autonomously and as part of a team in a fast paced, dynamic and varied production environment, whilst maintaining company health, safety and quality standards. The individual must want to be developed and be comfortable in sharing, giving and receiving information, instruction and training.
