Job Description

We have a vacancy for a Specialty Doctor in Oncology at Salisbury District Hospital working 4 sessions a week (Thursdays and Fridays). The post would be an excellent opportunity for applicants working in primary care who wish to gain experience and develop a specialty interest in Medical Oncology in a busy District General Hospital. Applications are welcomed from individuals seeking a Portfolio GP Role. It would also provide valuable experience for individuals with career interests in oncology, haematology and palliative care especially. The successful applicant will provide medical support to the Acute Oncology Team and will also be encouraged to provide outpatient clinic support to the Consultant Oncologists across a range of tumour sites. If applying as a GP Portfolio Role, funding is available for a relevant post graduate course to support the role.
