Job Description
Specialty Doctor in General Adult Psychiatry We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic team player with experience in general adult psychiatry. It is desirable that a successful applicant would be an approved medical practitioner in terms of the Mental Health (Scotland) Act 2003. It is desirable that the successful applicant has membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and has a minimum of 3 years postgraduate experience working in Psychiatry. The current post is based at Riverview Resource Centre which provides community mental health services to Dumbarton, Alexandria and surrounding areas. The Resource Centre covers a population of approximately 46,000, covering a range of housing types and deprivation levels. The CMHT is an integrated team comprising community psychiatric nursing, occupational therapy, psychology, social work and admin staff and is managed by the Integrated Operations Manager. The inpatient multi-disciplinary team is based at Henderson Ward Gartnavel Royal Hospital.
