Job Description
Job Title: Specialty Doctor in Dermatology, 8 PAs Department: Dermatology Location: West Glasgow ACH This post offers 8 Pas as a specialty doctor in West Glasgow ACH. The sessions are a combination of clinic and surgical sessions and can be negotiated. Adult dermatology services in Greater Glasgow and Clyde are provided by the clinical directorate of dermatology, the Alan Lyell Centre for Dermatology. The Directorate works on a hub and spoke model, with inpatient beds and some specialised and tertiary services based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. This is the regional adult dermatology centre for approximately 1.5 million people in the West of Scotland. Local adult dermatology services are delivered at eight hospital sites - Glasgow Royal Infirmary, Inverclyde Royal Hospital, Royal Alexandra Hospital, Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Stobhill Hospital, Vale of Leven Hospital, New Victoria Hospital and West Glasgow ACH. Each of these sites provides a range of dermatology out-patient services. Dermatology services are provided by a multidisciplinary team of practitioners including Consultants, Specialty doctors, GP clinical assistants and specialist dermatology nurses, working within an inpatient ward and outpatient department. The QEUH forms the hub for subspecialty clinics and is the tertiary adult inpatient unit. The successful candidate will join the team of GGC Dermatologists, whose special interests across GGC include cutaneous surgery (including Mohs surgery), skin cancer, urticaria, photodermatology, contact dermatitis, severe psoriasis, teaching, genodermatoses, paediatric dermatology, connective tissue disorders, vulval dermatoses, lymphoma and hair disorders. All applicants must possess full GMC registration, a licence to practice, with at least 4 Years full time Post Graduate Training, two of which must have been in relevant acute specialties or you will demonstrate and evidence equivalent experience and competencies.
