ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY We are seeking an exceptional individual to support ONE's policy work through data analysis, research, and data science methods. This role will work across the issue areas which ONE advocates for, including development finance, global health, gender, agriculture, and transparency. This position will support the policy team's work on data, developing new and impactful advocacy and policy tools, creating efficiencies in the management of data streams and supporting other team members in their use of data tools such as Tableau, Stata, Python and other relevant tools. This is a full-time, opportunity based in any of our ONE locations reporting to the Policy Manager - Development Finance. IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL * Conduct quantitative analysis of data related to Global and African development issues, across ONE's policy priorities and contribute to data management. * Succinctly summarize key trends and results from analysis for broad consumption. * Develop new products for the presentation of development data - including data dashboards and visualizations. * Advise on methodologies, approaches to data wrangling and management. * Support and participate in building a data driven culture within ONE. * Prepare written documents on policy issues including briefings, report chapters, policy analyses, blog posts, op eds, talking points, and other products. * Support maintenance of policy facts database and document library, ensuring that they include the most up-to-date data and information available. * Read and digest relevant policy reports and media coverage of specific issues and provide summary analysis on content and tone. * Provide general fact-checking and policy assistance as needed by the policy team and others within the organization. * Represent ONE in meetings, seminars, and workshops, and consolidate relevant information for consumption by the policy team. * Additional duties as determined by the supervisor and the Executive Director, Global Policy. WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU * Bachelor's or master's degree in economics, international affairs, or other relevant field. * At least one year of applicable experience (post-graduate) desirable. * Strong quantitative and statistical analysis skills required, with demonstrated skills in data management and original data analysis, including data cleaning and visualisations. * Strong skills or experience using either Stata or Python to manipulate and analyze data strongly desired. Experience creating visualisations using Tableau or Flourish strongly desired. * Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and Google Suite. * Quick turnaround research skills--must have the ability to seek out key facts and statistics to
