Job Description

Euromonitor International seeks a market research analyst to join its Services & Payments (S&P) Western Europe (WE) research team in London. This is a great opportunity for someone wishing to start a career or further a career in market research. The role is a demanding one where you will be responsible for specific output across the various industries covered within the S&P industries (Retailing, Consumer Finance, Consumer Foodservice, Travel and Digital Consumers). In addition, the analyst will be expected to build and maintain research contacts and develop expertise in relevant country markets. Our global coverage generates endless trends available for an analyst to leverage in building expertise and a personal brand. Requirements The Research Associate/Analyst will work as a team and is responsible for updating and developing sections of new and existing datasets and reports for the S&P industries covered. The role includes: Conduct primary research, including trade interviews with different publics (manufactures, distributors and retailers); Establishing good relationship with research contacts and developing an expertise in the covered industries and markets; Secondary research, to gather all relevant published information; Coordination and management of in-country research analysts; Evaluation of country level research; Collecting and analysing new research; Statistical and textual editing to improve the quality of research documentation; Provide insightful analysis to clients through reports; Assessing and improving overall product quality; Interface with clients, press and colleagues to respond requests about the research and industries covered; Writing opinion pieces about industries researched at country level with the latest trends; Work with other colleagues in Research, Consultancy and Sales to build further synergies between departments. Requirements Bachelors degree; Excellent command of both written and spoken English; Research track record, with proven skills in: High level of numeracy to evaluate and collate data; Trade interviewing; Desk research; Tenacity, attention to detail and highly organized; Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines; Good analysis, report writing skills and excellent command of both written and spoken; Computer literacy, with good experience of spreadsheet, word processing and presentation software - ideally Excel, Word and PowerPoint; Preferred additional languages: Dutch and Italian are an advantage but not essential.
