About you: We are looking for an enthusiastic qualified librarian to join our Library and Knowledge Services (LKS) team supporting staff and students across all our physical and mental health services within Berkshire Come and join us at an exciting time as we expand into areas such as knowledge management and quality improvement. You will play a crucial role in the delivery of a range of services, including information skills training, providing evidence searches and promotional activities to highlight library resources and showcase our impact. You will also be selecting stock, cataloguing and contributing to general library duties. Experience of training and literature searching is required. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, an ability to work independently and to manage a busy workload. Previous experience of working in healthcare libraries would be an advantage. The LKS plays an important role working alongside both clinical and non-clinical staff to ensure that all decision-making uses the best possible evidence to provide exceptional healthcare to our patients. You will have the opportunity to contribute to Trust-wide initiatives and collaborative working across the NHS South region in line with the NHS Knowledge for Healthcare Framework. The post is based at Prospect Park Hospital in Reading, with some home working at present. We are looking for someone to work between 15 and 22.5 hours per week, to include Thursdays and Fridays during our service opening hours of 8.30am - 5pm.
