To help support our global transformation, we are searching for an experienced Agile Coach \ Scrum Master to join our team in New York. In this role, you will be responsible for leading one or more of our scrum teams towards the successful delivery and iterations of a range of consumer facing products. You will also act as an advocate for Agile work practices, supporting & coaching US development teams as we rollout out Agile common ways of working globally. You will work closely with a wide set of international colleagues, including product, design, editorial and engineering, to help define and iterate best in class consumer products, while managing closely with project managers running projects across the organisation, which are at multiple stages of maturity. You will need to work with the relevant teams to map the dependencies between these projects and your project to ensure the successful delivery of the overall project portfolio. You will have past experience coaching teams in an agile environment using either Scrum or Kanban to deliver amazing product experiences across multiple geographies and multiple teams. Scrum Master Work in a servant leader capacity within a cross-functional team of product, design and engineering to continuously improve a market leading consumer product Responsibility for coordination and facilitation of agile & project management processes, e.g. Risk and Issue Management, daily stand ups, task planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and demonstrations Working closely with the product manager to ensure we have a prioritised set of features and stories, as well as a plan to deliver these features to delight our customers Working closely within a portfolio of change projects that impact every part of our business, continuously identify connections, dependencies and impact between your project and other projects, making the necessary adaptations to your project and escalating blockers where required Removing impediments by proactively monitoring status and engaging with the right personnel to find swift solutions Assisting with external and upward communication and reporting, providing transparency and updates to senior management Coaching Evangelising, guiding and coaching the team on how to use Agile values and practices (Inc. Scrum and Kanban), as well as on how to get the most out of self-organization Building a trusting and vibrant environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame or judgement, placing emphasis on conflict resolution, problem solving, and continuous improvement Guiding teams in the introduction of data-driven reporting showing story points earned (completed & tested) vs. capacity burned, estimates to completion, and sprint velocity Facilitating delivery via collaboration, discussion, and decision making We love enthusiastic, collaborative and pragmatic people that have these skills and background: Prior experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Project Manager working within established development teams using a mix of Agile Scrum and Kanban Strong people change experience, helping guide and support team members as they learn to adopt new ways of working and team structures A good understanding of iterative development, as well as the fundamentals of software development Ability to articulate the value of metrics and reporting within Agile delivery incl. backlog management, burndown charts, team velocity, and task definition Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, ensuring confidence in conflict resolution, and enabling them to adapt their style to different stakeholders Social and naturally collaborative, with the ability to lead and exercise influence by organizing and motivating the team without the use of authority Exceptional time management skills to facilitate all aspects of the team's planning and prioritization process Curious and intereste
