About InvestEngine Launched in May 2019 InvestEngine is a new, innovative firm, authorised and regulated by the FCA - who offer expertly managed investment portfolios. We are hiring for an Agile Project Manager to join our growing team. InvestEngine is smarter, nimbler, far cheaper and more accessible than a normal investment manager. We aim to deliver smart-designed portfolios expertly managed to put investors' money to work. We look to offer competitive low fees meaning more of investors wealth is managed expertly and professionally. About the role We're looking for an Agile Project Manager to be a key member of our team based in London. With the simple aim of delivering multiple projects in line with propositional, commercial and regulatory needs. We are a small but a growing team, so you will be expected to actively participate in all aspects of the business with a can do and roll your sleeves up approach. With a major product development underway, you will be instrumental in the launch of an exciting new way investors are serviced in the UK. Our expectation of you * Bridge the gap between the business and IT, define future state processes and present business requirements to key stakeholders * Build project methodology that is scalable to support an innovative start up company with ambitious growth plans * Manage new project request and facilitate the prioritisation of such requests, tracking progress against your project plan, providing regular updates to all stakeholders * Identify, log and manage issues or risks throughout the lifecycle of the project * Compile and maintain project documentation such as business specifications, test packs, project plans, plan and coordinate UAT, obtaining necessary sign offs and managing implementation * Utilise your financial and technical knowledge to apply critical thinking to strategise, propose solutions and reduce risk * Managing internal and external relationships: Helping to develop strategic supply chain partnerships, completing analysis of the market place and negotiating commercial terms. Managing internal stakeholders in order to deliver the project scope. * Be driven and determined to be part of a high-growth start up team where you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact. Requirements What you will need * Experience of working in financial services, ideally in DTC or a platform provider, preferably with client money * Knowledge of technical requirements for connectivity between retail clients, RSPs, third party providers including custodian, CREST etc for the full trade lifecycle and investment administration of equities and ETFs * You have a solid track record in agile project management in a nimble / start up company and evidence that you are a winner (either professional, academic, or even of a sporting nature) * You can restructure intricate problems into smaller ones and assist people in achieving a common goal with a service delivery attitude * The ability to develop good business cases and convince / motivate people to help you execute the business needs * Be alert to the changing nature of the investment industry and look for opportunities through technology, regulatory or legal changes * At least 3 year directly relevant experience to bring expert knowledge to a developing business.
