GREAT ORMOND STREET HOSPITAL FOR CHILDREN NHS FOUNDATION TRUST, Research Fellow in Echocardiography (Equivalent of Specialist Trainee 6) in Paediatric Cardiology Applications are invited for the above post. This post is 12 month fixed term in nature, as they are designed to provide specific training competencies to the post holder. Candidates must possess MRPCH Part I or equivalent. At least 12 months experience in Paediatrics/Paediatric Cardiology is required. The post holder will see a wide spectrum of cardiothoracic abnormalities. There will be the opportunity to gain exposure and introduction to the range of cardiac investigation and interventional techniques, especially echocardiography, including Myocardial Deformation Imaging and real-time 3D techniques. Recruitment to specialist training in Paediatric Cardiology occurs at ST4 level, and these posts provide an opportunity to gain exposure to the specialty for those contemplating a career in Paediatric Cardiology, or as a Paediatrician with an interest in cardiology.
