We are looking for volunteers who can help the people we support to get more involved in their community, improve their wellbeing, and do things that they enjoy. Volunteers are matched with individuals who have similar interests to do things they both enjoy, such as going for meals, gardening, sewing, watching sports, going to clubs, etc. What we expect from our Volunteers: \t * Previous experience is not essential - you just have to have the right attitude and values \t * Have good communication skills, and ability to build working relationships with the people we support \t * Commitment of a minimum of 2 hours per fortnight for 6 months \t * Be positive and passionate about volunteering \t * Compassion, dedication and flexibility What volunteers can expect from mirus: \t * Fully funded induction/training program \t * Experience & Progression. Volunteering could provide you with skills and experience to progress to a career in health and social care.
