Volunteer Coordinator

We are currently seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to work with our Support and Employability team to enhance and promote support services to our customers. You will manage and coordinate volunteers, promoting the roles of volunteers so they are respected and valid for their contribution to the organisation. Proactive in your approach you will effectively ensure that a good provision of trained volunteers are available to support individuals and community groups. Volunteers will assist with clubs, activities and fundraising events. Other duties will include preparing volunteer agreements at commencement of their role, ensuring that these are in place and up to date, with volunteers aware of their obligations under the volunteering policy and code of conduct. The successful candidate must have a GCSE English and Maths or equivalent and experience in delivering services using volunteers, befrienders and mentors. You must also have experience of recruiting volunteers as well as working in partnership with external agencies. You must be IT literate and have knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Word,Excel, Powerpoint, email and internet communications. Due to the nature of the role you are required to have a driving licence and use of your own vehicle for business purposes. This role also requires a standard disclosure and barring service (DBS) check is required in accordance with safeguarding policies. The vacancy closes at 9am on Monday 29 June 2020.
