Job Description
Job Title - AVP - FinCrime Exits Forume (FINCREF) Secretariat Location - Glasgow The Financial Crime Exits Management team coordinates the complex exits of customers and entities where Barclays is exposed to Financial Crime risk across multiple Business Units. This demands a close and highly productive relationship with the Business Units for whom we carry out this service. The collation of supporting data, generation of MI, and preparation of decks is fundamental to the smooth operation of the Exits process across the Group. You will act as the secretariat for the Group Financial Crime Exits Forum (FINCREF) held on a weekly basis, and responsible for all governance and control in relation to the operation of the Forum. To be effective this requires good relationships across all business units in the Barclays Group. What will you be doing? Work with the Financial Crime Exits Director, BU Level Coordinators, and other appropriate parties where necessary to ensure procedural obligations are maintained Research requirements to proactively support the FC Exits regime through use of evolving technology capabilities such as Quantexa to identify and escalate potential true matches to other BUs Take ultimate responsibility for all FINCREF records, MI, and dashboards Communicate on governance records with senior management, which will demand excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to negotiate and build consensus The Secretariat aspect of the role is to assist with the administration of the forums. The Secretariat perform a number of different functions in order to ensure the smooth running of the forum, including, but not limited to: o Preparation of decks / supporting data and documents o Efficient running of the forum process o Completion of the minutes o Updating outcomes of Forums and tracking forum actions. Facilitate the follow-up and closure of all action items, by working closely with presenters, FINCREF members and relevant wider stakeholders i.e watchlist submissions Ensure the Fincrime Exits Case Log is properly reconciled with AML watchlist entries Review access to FINCREF, its papers, meetings and files is safeguarded against inappropriate access of sensitive data What we're looking for: Experience of working in Financial Crime Operations or Regulatory / Compliance environments Pragmatic; possesses good judgment, Good organizational skills and ability to work to tight deadlines Excellent level of communication and diplomacy Skills that will help you in the role: Documentation, planning and presentation software tools Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint High energy, hands-on, results and goal-oriented Awareness of banking front to bank infrastructure and Financial Crime processes Where will you be working?
