Job Description

One of the UK's finest insurance providers is currently looking for a trading Fleet Underwriter to deal with new enquiries and renewals as well as training and coaching colleagues. You will need to have good experience as a commercial fleet underwriter that can write mid-market size cases with premiums starting at £250k. Strong trading and relationship building skills alongside a driven nature to achieve stretching targets. Quality, customer care with a pro-active confident personality are essential. You will be dealing with key strategic partners in maximising new business and retaining existing clients through bespoke large case management. What will the role involve? * Underwriting complex larger fleet risks and other commercial motor classes * Delivering planned financial results through effective underwriting * Building effective trading relationship with brokers * Identifying poorly performing accounts and investigating reasons * Improvement of profitability by implementing actions agreed with brokers * Development of colleagues through coaching and acting as senior reference point Suitable Candidate: * 5-3 years of commercial fleet underwriting experience is essential * Experience of working with larger fleet cases * Progress towards CII qualification * Strong trading capability with business acumen * Pragmatic decision making with good analytical and numerical reasoning skills * Proven ability in decision making on a wide range of underwriting scenarios * Experience of working in teams and a successful record of delivery results Additional benefits and information: * Annual bonus scheme - typically 7.5% of basic salary * Pension with employer contributions * 25 days annual leave * Flex benefit options around pension and live cover, holiday purchase, childcare vouchers, health, dental, critical illness * Interest free season ticket loan scheme (train) Please note that although CMA are actively reviewing applications for this role, given the current situation the client recruitment process may take longer than usual.
