Reporting into the Chief Architect and working closely with the electronic and mechanical design teams, the position is responsible for ensuring best-in-class design approaches are utilized to maintain RF signal integrity according the system requirements while meeting manufacturability and cost metrics. The Senior RF PCB Design Engineer will serve as the internal expert and design resource in microwave/millimeter wave design and packaging approaches. This person will be the design authority on each PCB manufactured by Isotropic Systems both internally and externally through contract manufactures. This pivotal role requires extensive experience in high frequency design (Ku/K/Ka Band) with demonstrated success in previous product developments and releases. The role requires a high level of both detailed analog/digital design experience as well as 3D electromagnetic modelling to prove out candidate designs and reduce manufacturing risk and increase yield. The candidate will have demonstrated experience in dense RF multi-layer PCB design and circuit layout with interfaces that are low-loss and robust. Design for manufacturing is a key aspect of this role. Responsibilities * Serve as internal design resource for all high frequency analog and digital designs. * Serve as design authority and Subject Matter Expert for all printed circuit boards with high frequency analog or digital content. * Implement design best practices as required and mentor other engineers. * Design and optimize complex high frequency analog circuits. * Test and troubleshooting of high frequency analog circuits. * Provide specifications and interface with PCB suppliers and contract manufactures. * Provide source selection expertise for high frequency electronic components.
