Our hospital will include a state-of-the-art neurorehabilitation unit where we will provide a comprehensive, patient-centred rehabilitation approach. Patients will be cared for by a multidisciplinary team, led by Rehabilitation Medicine Specialists and Neurologists with expertise across the full clinical spectrum. We're recruiting a Clinical Lead Speech and Language Therapist in this area to provide innovative clinical and managerial leadership which inspires, motivates and empowers therapists to deliver an excellent patient experience. Responsible for the day to day operational service planning and delivery of service, you will also support the strategic development of the service and identify clinical research and priorities. Acting as a source of expertise on the management of neurological patients, you will educate and train speech and language therapists, developing them both clinically and non-clinically. You will also take on your own clinical caseload, working independently and within the multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcome for patients. HCPC registered, you will have extensive postgraduate experience working within Neuro-Rehabilitation speech and language therapy at a senior level, plus expert speech and language therapy skills for assessment and treatment of patients. You will have experience of leading an effective team of qualified therapy staff and students, and of empowering patients to make their own decisions around their condition and treatment.
