Location Wakefield Salary 26,208 to 28,023 per annum Role Profile Attachment Image Retrieval and Analysis Officer Role Profile.pdf - 471KB Job Advert THIS VACANCY HAS BEEN ADVERTISED EXTERNALLY Image Retrieval and Analysis Officer Counter Terrorism Policing - North East (CTP NE) Wakefield Permanent 1 full time Post West Yorkshire Police are looking to appoint an Image Retrieval and Analysis Officer based in Wakefield. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in a unique team, supporting the work of Counter Terrorism. The successful candidate will attend scenes and undertake technical processes in order to retrieve, evaluate and enhance CCTV and other evidential imagery to the highest possible standard to aid in the investigation and detection of crime/terrorist incidents. This will lead to eventually preparing intelligence reports and evidential packages for presentation before the courts. In order to be considered for this role, you must have a suitable formal qualification in an Imaging or ITC subject or proven experience working in an associated field and must also be CBRN trained or have an ability/willingness to successfully complete the CBRN training. The eligible candidate must have the ability to assess the quality of video and still images, and have a proven understanding of computer hardware to component level, as well as a variety of software packages associated with data downloads and image enhancement. You must have the ability to use computer packages such as Microsoft Office and a knowledge of Video and Audio Visual Technology. Ideal applicants must be able to remain calm and be resilient in difficult situations and work in various locations around the UK, potentially for protracted periods. You must hold a full current UK/European driving licence and have the ability to pass a Police driving test and successfully complete a safe lifting course. You will work a pattern which involves working one weekend in three for which you will receive the appropriate reimbursement. The successful candidate will be subject to enhanced level personal and financial vetting checks prior to appointment. You must be a British citizen and eligible to hold a British passport to work in the CTP NE. For security reasons you should not discuss your application with anyone other than your immediate family.
