Preferred education & experience * Experience of successfully implementing a lean program within a manufacturing environment. * BS/BA degree is preferred. * Formal Lean Training is preferred. * Six sigma trained preferable. * Experience of SPC * Experience of driving performance and results from lean programs. * Experience of Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen activities. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on coaching and influencing others. * A solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing/Enterprise philosophies. Key duties associated with the role: * Responsibility for deploying PPI Lean initiatives on Site. * Assist in developing the Site's improvement goals and objectives. Coordinate and champion activities to meet or exceed those goals. * Responsibility for hitting annual cost saving targets ($1.45m for 2020) in collaboration with Dept. Heads using lean techniques, whilst maintaining focus on the quantity & quality of outputs. Collate savings, validate with Finance and report monthly. Take ownership of a strong pipeline of cost saving ideas across departments. * Lead Value Stream Mapping Events and champion activities to drive change * Accelerate the culture of continuous improvement, accountability and empowerment. * Train employees in the areas of PPI and Lean Enterprise implementation. * Advance the Site's 5S program. * Lead initiatives to develop Standardisation, Leader Standard Work and Gemba with a purpose. * Responsibility for leading PPI improvement initiatives; training & developing people to leverage process efficiencies & quality improvements * Making recommendations for positive change & to guide & support people who are going through the process of change. * Performance of any other duties that may be reasonably expected within the remit of the role including acceptance of personal Health & Safety responsibilities Employment Type: Full time
