For more information, please visit us at www.xylem.com The Director Continuous Improvement & Quality EMEA is the functional lead for both Quality and Continuous improvement, partnering with the Applied Water Systems and Specialty Flow Control leadership teams to identify, implement and leverage operational excellence and advanced quality practices. A key expectation is further build a solid customer-centered culture across sites. **Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:** + Coaches, guides, develops talent across both CI and Quality teams for multiple sites, optimizing resource allocation, leading and prioritizing for budget achievement and growth, and driving a customer centric culture through voice of customer, improvements, and a quality mindset. + Analyzes current status of improvement initiatives for both organizations, including stakeholders, to develop and implement an overall plan in line with business objectives. + Prepares projects via GDP and TLIP methodologies to measure and report out on breakthrough goals, cross functional activities and process improvements to achieve desired results. + Directly manages the highest value/most complex LSS/ CI projects in the region as required, coaching others to build capability. + Participates in project reviews and consults on LSS /CI project implementations, sharing successes and practices across sites as appropriate. + Owns and manages productivity savings goals in the region and motivates teams to achieve the target. + Plays a pivotal role to monitor and improve metrics. Supports leaders in identifying and in driving process improvements and projects with a focus on quality, logistics, manufacturing and growth. + Supports the teams in the identification, selection and prioritisation of improvement projects and activities. + Coordinates the improvement projects portfolio execution along the year: projects progress and results, measurement and sustainability of improvement, Xylem reporting requests. + Identifies and develops potential Black Belts, Lean Leaders and successors for the functions. + Develops and executes the business's process control and quality management system which includes creating, implementing, evaluating and adjusting company's quality policies, standards, systems, procedures and strategic plans to meet the required standards and customer expectations. + Secure and develop the company's quality certifications and strategy (i.e ISO 9001) and in ensure the document management activities meet required standards. + Plan, organize, direct, control, evaluate and align the subsidiaries Quality Assurance operations as well as ensure best practice implementation including developing and maintaining QA standards relating to process and products. + Participate in customer and supplier meetings when appropriate to ensure voice of customer and voice of supplier feedback is acted upon and steps are taken to ensure alignment. + Overall accountability for quality related KPls: DPD, Warranty expenditure and Total Cost of Poor Quality. + Manage quality related communication across all functions including the commercial team. **Additional Responsibilities:** The role spans both Quality and CI functions for the AWS EMEA and Specialty Flow Control business (globally) The role is an active member of both AWS EMEA and SFC Leadership teams, partnering on strategy, culture and growth initiatives to deliver both business's strategic and operational growth targets. **Key Competencies** **:** + Continuous improvement mindset + Developing capability (for people manager) + Cross-boundary collaboration + Driving organizational Change + Internal & External Customer Focus + Leading people & teams (for
