We're looking for an experienced continuous change and improvement (C&I) practitioner to join our Projects & Change team at Ovo Energy. Reporting into the Enterprise Performance Manager, you will be responsible for managing our C&I practice; working with change and operational teams to identify, prioritise and deliver high value improvements across the Retail business. You will have 5+ years experience in a similar role with a recognised professional qualification (e.g. lcs, Six Sigma, etc.), have previously led teams to successfully embed the principles of C&I within the operation, and through analysis have been able to identify and maximise improvement opportunities. Practice leads at OVO are fast learners, build great relationships right from the off, understand when to dive into the detail and when to rely on expert team-mates. On top of that, they lead by example; demonstrating their experience and skills to the rest of the team. Where in the world of OVO will I be working? * Lead the C&I practice, creating the methods and tooling to deliver at speed but never compromising on quality * Bring the best of OVO's wealth of talented individuals to mobilise highly effective change teams * Champion and initiate a culture of continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: * Lead the C&I practice and team (5 FTE) * Support the development of a C&I delivery framework, methodology and delivery processes * Assess the value of improvements and prioritise accordingly * Map, analyse and optimise business processes to remove waste and failure - working closely with the Customer Experience Team and business process / customer journey owners * Lead the assessment and quantification of changes to inform prioritisation and business planning * Lead readiness assessments; develop and manage implementation plans * Lead analysis of commercial and operational data to identify C&I opportunities and report on trends * Lead high priority and/or complex improvement initiatives and projects E2E * Manage the personal and professional performance of your direct reports * Support and mentor Change and Improvement Managers and Analysts to develop a higher performing CI team * Be an active member of the wider change community We'd love to hear from you if you have... * 5+ years experience in a similar role or discipline * The ability to manage multiple complex projects end to end, leveraging the most appropriate analysis and tools * Significant experience of data driven problem solving, root cause analysis and value identification * The ability to simplify complexity / readily identify opportunities and translate this into strategic decisions and recommendations * Experience of creating and leading multi-disciplinary change and business teams * Experience in influencing key project decisions with sponsors and stakeholders * Strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills, specifically enabling stakeholders to align quickly around change objectives * Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment * Willingness to go that extra mile for your customer * A wealth of knowledge, experience and ideas to contribute to the growth of the practice and Projects and Change team * Experience in mentoring and coaching to develop colleagues * Expert knowledge of both Agile and CI principles, tools and techniques together with experience of applying this to a variety of projects * Formal training and certifications in Lean / Continuous Improvement methods * Formal training and certifications in Agile Project Management (desirable) * A strong knowledge of Energy utility processes and technologies (desirable) You'll love working with us if you... * Are passionate about working in a dynamic environment and responding to change * Enjoy understanding the impact and opportunities of change, and converting this understanding into new concepts and recommendations * Find new concepts easy to understand, and show the tenacity to keep asking until clarity is achieved * Love developing talent in yourself and your colleagues * Know your strengths, yet recognise there's always more to learn from others From us you'll get* * An annual discretionary bonus * 4% of your salary to spend on flexible lifestyle benefits * 5% matched employer contribution to your pension * 25 days holiday + 1 for your birthday * And many more...
