Finance Manager (FP&A) We have an exciting opportunity within the Finance function for a new Finance Manager to join our FP&A team! Working within and across the cross-functional tribe structure, our FP&A team works closely with all parts of the business to create and share insightful financial reporting and analysis that underpins decision-making at Gousto, and drives action plans to optimise both our customer proposition and our operational processes. In this Finance Manager role, you and your team of two finance analysts will be responsible for driving margin-improving action plans with an array of senior stakeholders. You will also take the lead on business partnering activities within the Menu Tribe, who are building a world-class way of displaying, personalising and merchandising our recipes, to ensure maximum customer excitement and enjoyment. As part of the FP&A team, you will report directly into the Head of FP&A, and will work closely with the rest of the team to manage our forecast and drive our key strategic projects forward. Your success will be measured by hitting quarterly OKRs, by team engagement (own direct reports and colleagues), and by impact across the wider business. Your impact will be huge in driving the business forward and were excited to see you: Drive Margin (NOM business partnering) * Own the gross margin roadmap, outlining the steps required to achieve our targets, and driving the action plan forward to hold the key stakeholders accountable to delivering results; * Step-change our margin reporting, variance analysis and forecasting capabilities, focusing on high quality and high impact * Drive forecast accuracy, sharing a reliable forecast and action plan on a weekly basis with senior management, and proactively identifying and addressing key risks * Lead the gross margin annual budget and quarterly reforecast processes Driving Value (Menu Tribe business partnering) * Fully embed yourself in the Menu Tribe, to become the go-to person for tribe commercial support * Challenge the tribe to make sure our propositions move the needle on KPIs, and ensure the team assess the wider impacts of proposition changes on the whole business (with a particular focus on operations). * Take the lead on commercial analysis, enabling the Tribe Management Team to make key strategic decisions, and deliver the rolling long-term roadmap; * Raise the bar for the standard of tribe commercial analysis, ensuring we continually learn and seek to improve our commercially-driven mindset as a tribe * Analyse results from tribe tests to ensure we are making the right commercial decisions. * Proactively identify key risks to the delivery of Menu Tribe OKRs, and work with your business partners to mitigate them Support Head of FP&A with central FP&A processes, such as month-end, budgeting, reporting, forecasting, etc, standing in for Head of FP&A when required. Develop and grow an incredibly-motivated team. Develop their skills in financial analysis, problem-solving, stakeholder management and leadership. Requirements Who you are! * CIMA/ACCA Qualified. * Successful, proven experience in relevant, similar FP&A/ commercial finance roles, and very comfortable working with variable costs and gross margin on the P&L. * Strong variance analysis skills, with the ability to derive innovative new methods to calculate/ estimate the impact of new cost drivers and proposition changes.. * Excellent communicator, with the ability to succinctly summarise complex financial information in an easy-to-understand manner for stakeholders of any level / function. Able to build great relationships with people from across the business. * Self-starter, with a real bias for action. * Curious and proactive.
