Job Description

Locum Consultant In Intensive Care and Anaesthesia - West Mid site Initially 6 month appointment Our Anaesthetic Department at the West Middlesex provides a service to nine operating theatres. The surgical specialties covered are colorectal and general surgery, gynaecology, ENT, trauma and orthopaedics, dental and podiatric surgery. You will be joining a team of five substantive consultant intensivists in a 1 in 6 rota covering the 13 bed critical care unit. Remaining clinical sessions will be taken flexibly in theatres. You will work closely with intensivists, nurses and allied professionals and supportive of the North West London Critical Care Network - which is the most active network in London, or indeed in the country. Our department supports regular academic and research activities, including presentations at international and national meetings. We also contribute to multi-site national audits. All consultants are actively encouraged to participate in research and the teaching of research techniques to the trainees.
