Pensions Project Manager, Pensions Business Analyst, Pensions Propositions, Product Development Your new company Launched in January 2019, the Money and Pensions Service brings together the free services delivered by the Money Advice Service, The Pensions Advisory Service and Pension Wise. We are an Arms-Length organisation, sponsored by the Department for Work and Pensions, with a joint commitment to ensuring that people have access and guidance to the information they need to make effective financial decisions over their lifetime. As a new organisation, our approach is to put the customer at the heart of everything we do. We will be working collaboratively with our key stakeholders to ensure that all UK citizens can easily access the information they need to make the most of their money and pensions throughout their lives. This is an exciting vision that we want to get right. We have used 2019 to understand what our customers and stakeholders need from the new organisation. Based on this, we will be beginning to test innovating ways of improving information and guidance across all channels so we can develop new integrated customer services and journeys that are both efficient and effective. Your new role The purpose of the Policy & Propositions Manager will be to input into the vision for MaPS pension policy and strategy across long term saving, pensions, retirement and later life; to work closely with DWP and HMT to ensure that MaPS policy positions align with emerging policy; using knowledge of pensions and retirement, customers, operations and other stakeholder manage the development of propositions that support the UK Strategy for Financial Wellbeing and MaPS corporate strategy and to work closely with pensions operations teams to ensure that we are delivering a high-quality and effective proposition. Some key accountabilities of the role include: * Review research and market intelligence to develop and articulate policy positions that will support the goals in MaPS' UK Strategy for Financial Wellbeing, working within the governance framework and providing insights into strategic opportunities and risks. * Supporting the creation and development of a pensions strategy for MaPS aligned to the UK Strategy and the MaPS corporate strategy. * Understanding stakeholder requirements (policy makers, customers, operations) to help design and develop propositions. * Work with external partners and colleagues across the organisation to take recommendations, analyse feasibility and design propositions to improve the financial wellbeing of UK consumers and deliver our national strategy objectives in the pensions and retirement arena. * Support delivery of pension and retirement propositions. * Communicate MaPS policy and strategic positions on areas of focus, internally and to external stakeholders. What you'll need to succeed In order to be successful on application, it is expected that you will possess the following skills/experience: * Experience/knowledge of pensions and retirement in the UK. * Experience working in pension proposition development, policy or pension consulting. * Able to communicate complex issues clearly and confidently to non-technical audiences, face-to-face and in compelling consultation responses and briefings. * Capability to plan and manage projects and tasks flexibly and adaptively, keeping track of timelines, budgets, and ensuring high quality propositions. Although not essential, it would be desirable if you had experience: * Experience in working in cross functional teams. * Experience in analysing regulations and assessing impact on propositions and services. What you'll get in return In return you will be placed onto a permanent contract paying circa £65,000 per annum.
