Advanced Specialist Nurse (Mental Health Liaison Nurse) (Ref: 23709) Substantive, Full Time " 37.5 hours per week Band 7 Salary Range £39,300 - £46,006 per annum Plus Distant Islands Allowance of £1,895 per annum Relocation Assistance of up to £8000 available Advanced Specialist Nurse (Mental Health Liaison Nurse) (Ref: 23709) Substantive, Full Time - 37.5 hours per week Band 7 Salary Range £39,300 - £46,006 per annum Plus Distant Islands Allowance of £1,895 per annum Relocation Assistance of up to £8000 available Shetland Community Mental Health Team is recruiting a motivated and dynamic Mental Health Liaison Nurse (MHLN). The successful applicant will provide high quality evidence-based nursing intervention for adults presenting in acute mental health crisis to the Gilbert Bain Hospital. The MHLN is an advanced specialist nurse whose role is to assess patients who present in acute Mental Health crisis at hospital and / or care plan the management of Mental Health patients admitted. This may also include patients relevant to, Substance Misuse or Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services. The MHLN will also lead on the development of procedures and protocols that support the management of patients with mental health conditions in hospital. They will also be key in ensuring smooth transfer / transition to In-patient Mental Health facilities off island normally Royal Cornhill Hospital.
