Job Description

Would you like to be a leading nurse clinician working as an advanced practitioner working as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team? At Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells there is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled nurse specialist. You will exercise advanced clinical expertise, examination skills, and levels of judgement, discretion and decision-making in clinical care. You will provide advanced clinical skills and advice demonstrating a sound understanding of the issues related to the identification, assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of patients for breast cancer. You will help deliver timely communication of imaging results, independently run clinics for review of patients reporting a physical clinical concern and contact and support patients in whom a mammographic abnormality has been detected during the process of further investigation. You will be integral to the further development of the breast diagnostic to include appropriate holistic needs assessment and patient reported outcome measures for the breast service with opportunities for teaching, audit, research and further career development. The post requires advanced clinical expertise, excellent communication and examination skills, team-working and levels of judgement, discretion and decision-making in clinical care along with a sound understanding of the issues related to the identification, assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of patients for breast cancer.
