WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING? As Financial Reporting Accountant, your primary focus will be to take responsibility for key areas of management and external reporting. You'll oversee the provision of key information for monthly reporting purposes, specifically in relation to capex and staff. Other responsibilities will include: * Preparing Group and company financial statements for all subsidiaries of the Group * Preparing file notes and accounting work papers for large transactions, e.g. acquisitions * Acting as a key point of contact for the statutory audit, managing audit fieldwork queries and provision of information to the auditors * Maintaining high quality record-keeping with respect to fixed assets and staff costs data * Responding to and providing information with respect to PE shareholder queries * Acting as line manager to the Fixed Assets Analyst * Assisting with continuing implementation and improvement of a new accounting system * Working with management accountants on any ad-hoc technical accounting projects WHAT WILL YOU BRING? We're looking for a qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent) who has solid post qualification experience within the telecoms sector. It's essential that you can prepare Group financial statements and management accounts, understanding key technical issues that a telecoms company faces.
