An exciting and new opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and proficient product specialist to join the Electronic Patient Record team at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS) and assist with the implementation and support of innovative clinical systems on a full time basis. The role will involve working on a variety of exciting projects to enhance the use of IT by UHS clinicians and other staff and make a positive difference to patient care delivery. ABOUT THE TEAM UHS holds the status of Global Centre of Digital Excellence, and is leading an exciting programme to become paperless as a digital exemplar trust. We're utilising additional investment from NHS England to boost our informatics strategy and modernise our IT infrastructure. This enables us to deliver pioneering applications to support patient care and medical research not only at UHS, but as a leader across the local health economy. The Electronic Patient Record team provide support for a number of clinical systems from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday. WHAT YOU'LL DO We're looking for a skilled and motivated individual to join the team and support, promote and improve the clinical systems in use at UHS. Key duties will include: * Leading on enhancements to existing systems and the implementation of new systems. * Working with clinicians and other system users to understand their needs and promote best use of IT. * Performing software testing and clinical risk assessments as part of system upgrades/deployments. * Assisting with operational support for all EPR systems. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Exemplary communication and presentation skills are essential for this role. You must have an in depth knowledge of IT systems and excellent leadership skills, as well as: * Software testing experience * Analytical skills * Ability to work effectively with users and suppliers * Flexible attitude in the work place. You will be a self-starter with the ability to learn new skills quickly and will enjoy working in a changing environment. You must be able to work to deadlines as well as leading projects and/or people.
