Role Overview Our Chief Operating Officer will be responsible for running the business and will take ownership across the entire operational and commercial landscape, both in the UK and internationally. The COO is ultimately responsible for ensuring that we are both humming at optimal speed and delivering on our revenue and growth. Youll play a unique role in enabling collaboration across multiple functions, putting customer experience at the heart of Zegos operating model in order to enhance business performance, maximise revenue, enhance reputation and increase market share growth. Reporting to the CEO and acting as an experienced voice within the leadership team, there is an incredible opportunity here to guide the organisation towards realising our vision of building the next global company. About the role Your initial focus will be to: * Assume responsibility for revenue, customer experience, marketing, communications and insurance operations teams, optimising how each is working within their respective areas and interacting across the wider organisation * Understand the performance of our business model, producing deep exploration and leading change that speeds up the journey to achieve our vision * Support the development of clear commercial and sales strategies * Identify and establish best fit operational infrastructure and processes for Zego * Direct short-medium term deliverables planning and execution that complements the overarching business roadmap. Longer term you will be responsible for: Business & Organisation * Effectively running the business on a daily basis, helping connect the dots and enabling exceptional performance throughout the entire organisation * Overseeing the direction of business operations and commercial functions across Zego * Implementing and guiding impactful strategic and operational planning cycles across the organisation * Developing and optimising a scalable and lean operating model for the sector and within the context of a customer guided organisation * Driving profitable growth from efficient service fulfilment. Throughout hyper-growth, youll ensure timely sustainable and profitable business efficiencies. This isn't a growth-at-any-cost business and you will demonstrate a track record of balancing the long and short term goals of a business * Delivering a first-class customer experience, advocating for the customer and influencing how their experience is optimised through product. People leadership * Acting as a role model and representative for the business, owning key decisions within the leadership function and involvement at board level * Developing, nurturing and mentoring your teams, driving collaboration across all functions and enhancing resources to ensure sustained growth and international expansion * Creating a highly engaged and performance-focused culture that attracts and retains highly motivated, and exceptional people * Acquiring a deep level of insight across internal systems and processes, maximising communication and efficiencies across international teams * Exemplify Zegos values and culture, empowering teams to engage with our vision and journey as we scale.
